How GST Is Calculated
Adding GST to a base price: GST Amount = Base × Rate ÷ 100, Total = Base + GST Amount.
Removing GST from a price that already includes tax: Base = Total ÷ (1 + Rate ÷ 100).
Worked Example
A product priced at ₹10,000 with 18% GST: GST amount = ₹1,800 (₹900 CGST + ₹900 SGST), total payable = ₹11,800.
